Optiflex MLX 2000 Video System

The Optiflex MLX-2000 is a camera based optical inspection and measurement system that has been globally distributed for decades. Manufactured by Flexbar in the USA, this system is available in multiple stage sizes including 8”x4”, and 12”x12”.

 

A granite base and vertical Z-column makes this system sturdy and robust, able to withstand the rigors of either the shop floor or inspection lab. Whether in use for precise real time measurements, or as a featured tool in any inspection department, the Optiflex MLX-2000 system offers measurement resolution down to 0.5 microns with accuracies better than 0.0002”/0.002mm.

The Flexbar MLX-2000 System features:

  • Stage base sizes of 8”x4” (200mm x 100 mm) or 12”x12” (300mm x 30mm)
  • Easy to use touch screen LCD Digital Readout with geometric measurement features including points, lines, circles, angles, skew and more
  • Full color Display resolution 1080p/ LCD monitor
  • Granite frame (base and Z-column) allowing for system robustness and thermal stability
  • Fundamental linear accuracy of < 0.00016”/0.004mm per inch before Error Correction calibration
  • Zoom Detent Optics, selectable from 60X-400X Electro Optical Magnification
  • Precision cross-roller bearing stage for the X/Y axis
  • Integrated Image capture, exportable from an SD card
  • Graphic based constructions allow for part feature drawing creation
  • Tooling holes on the stage plate allow for part fixturing as needed
  • Measurement display resolution of up to .5 microns
  • Data Reporting/Export for SPC

The MLX-2000 is easily upgradeable to perfectly suit your needs and application with the following upgrades:

This additional lighting, much like any standard comparator, is recommended for improved external edge detection and is commonly featured in almost any application.

This upgrade takes the base halogen lights and upgrades them to LED lights. LED lights allow for:

  • Higher color temperature;
  • Improved view and illumination;
  • Lower heat generation;
  • Longer light life expectancy;

This upgrade features the mounting of monitors and keyboard onto twin arms connected to the granite base. This allows some of the equipment to be removed from the bench top and reduces the footprint of the assembly.

This upgrade allows for three dimensional measurement, a calibrated Z axis to combine with the X/Y Axis of the base two-dimensional inspection.

This software upgrade is only available for systems upgraded to MLX-3000 and allows for the importing of pre-existing .dxf files for a comparative style of inspection. This includes a live error whisker display for part violations of the original DXK tolerance zones.
